ABOUT
Lover of rainy days, tea and whimsical illustration, Cara Blackburne-Brace is an illustrator based in Manchester specialising in zine work and graphics.
Having gained her degree from Manchester School of Art, Cara Blackburne-Brace graduated in 2021 with a passion for zine illustration, graphics, GIF animation and children's book illustration. She focuses heavily on shape, texture, line and colour to bring an eclectic mix of whimsy and lightheartedness to her work.
From having such a passion within the breadth of illustration, Cara is competent in various digital software platforms and traditional techniques within printmaking. Ranging from Photoshop, InDesign, Procreate, bookbinding, screen printing and linocut, she has formed her own fanciful style through these wide-ranging platforms.
